More than 1,000 people have downloaded the Dudley Council smartphone app in just one month.
It takes the number of people communicating with the council via the free app to over 7,000 users.
Thousands of people have been reporting issues to the council via the app including fly-tipping, potholes, graffiti as well as making online payments, keeping up to date with the latest news and requesting services. But the number of people has rocketed at the start of the year. Councillor David Stanley, cabinet member for corporate transformations and performance, said:
“The council app’s popularity continues to grow and grow because it is a great way to quickly communicate with the council. More and more people are heading online to report issues to us and request services.
"I would urge anyone who hasn’t already downloaded this app to give it a try.”
