Police in Rowley Regis have arrested two suspected metal thieves after officers quickly responded to a burglary.

They were alerted to intruders forcing their way into business grounds in Oldbury Road at around 8pm on 9th June.

A force spokesperson said: "We promptly attended and recovered a bag of tools and found copper had been removed from a roof.

"A 35-year-old man was detained from the roof and another man, aged 21, following a foot chase. They've been arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in police custody for questioning.

"We won't tolerate any form of burglary and we'll always look to identify and arrest suspects."
