Car Parking Boost In Dudley Town Centre

Visitors and traders to Dudley town centre will benefit from additional car parking spaces that have been created in the town.

A total of 21 new short stay spaces have been created as part of Dudley Council’s ongoing commitment to provide additional parking in the town.

On Stone Street, 9 spaces have been created to allow visitors to park for free for one hour, providing a boost to the existing on-street parking available in the town.

In New Mill Street an unused and redundant car park has been brought back into use with the creation of a new short stay car park.  It provides 12 spaces, including one disabled bay, small fees apply.  All 21 spaces are now available to use. Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member for planning and economic development, said:

“This is further great news for the town, its visitors and traders. Through providing this additional car parking, we hope to encourage more people into the town centre, which will continue to support the economic growth of the borough and support businesses.

“We’re committed to working hard to create more and more additional parking in the town including the development of a new car park on Tower Street which will provide a further 90 spaces in the town.”
