Carers and people living with dementia invited to special event

Carers and people living with dementia are being given a voice to help shape the future of support in the borough.

They are being invited to a special event called Living with Dementia in Dudley: Building Our Future Together on Wednesday May 21 from 1pm to 5pm.

Voluntary organisations, health professionals and community providers have also been invited to the event, with more than 40 already signed up to take part.

Councillor Andrea Goddard, cabinet member for adult social care, said: “We warmly invite everyone in Dudley who is affected by dementia—whether you’re living with it, supporting someone who is, or simply care about the cause—to a special event dedicated to shaping a more compassionate future for dementia support in our borough.

“This is a safe and welcoming space for you to share your voice, your journey, and your hopes.

“Your stories matter deeply, and by listening to each other, we can grow a better understanding of what it truly means to live with or care for someone with dementia.

“Together, let’s create a kinder, more supportive community for all.”

To join the event, please pre-register and book your place at dudleyci.co.uk.
