Multi award-winning West End star, Carrie Hope Fletcher will lead the cast of the upcoming UK tour of Waitress when it opens at Birmingham Hippodrome next April.
Fletcher is an actress, author and vlogger, who is currently starring in the title role of the UK and Ireland tour of Calamity Jane.
Her many theatre credits include Cinderella in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella, Veronica Sawyer in Heathers as well as appearances as both Eponine and Fantine in Les Miserables.
Waitress opened on Broadway in 2016 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, where it ran until 5 January 2020. The show tells the story of Jenna, an expert pie maker in a small town who dreams of a way out of her loveless marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county and the town’s new doctor may offer her a chance at a new life, while her fellow waitresses offer their own recipes to happiness.
Waitress comes to Birmingham Hippodrome from Tuesday 28 April 2026 until Saturday 2 May 2026.
Tickets go on sale to Hippodrome Friends on Thursday 25 September at 11am and on general sale on Friday 26 September at 11am and can be booked at birminghamhippodrome.com or by calling 0121 689 3000.
