Celebrate Pride Month in Sandwell with a free picnic and entertainment

Residents are invited to visit a Pride Picnic at Dartmouth Park in West Bromwich on Saturday 11 June to celebrate Pride Month in Sandwell.

The event, which runs from 11am to 3pm, will include fairground rides, a community walk and LGBTQ+ information stalls, alongside Little Mix and Kylie tribute acts and a live drag performance.

Patrons are invited to bring a blanket, soft drinks and snacks with them. Councillor Laura Rollins, Sandwell Council’s cabinet member for leisure and tourism, said:

“Come along to the Pride Picnic on Saturday and help us make it a ‘Happy Pride Month’ in Sandwell. Together we will celebrate our communities, built on mutual respect, which make our towns and neighbourhoods distinctive, caring and vibrant centres.

“I also want to thank everyone who filled in our recent Pride survey; your feedback has been really helpful during the organisation of the event.”

Dartmouth Park is located next to West Bromwich Town Centre and Sandwell Valley Country Park, off Reform Street. You are asked to please use public transport, where possible.
