People can bag the perfect Christmas gift at Stevens Park in Quarry Bank on Saturday at a charity Christmas sale.

The Emily Jordon Foundation Project, which is based at Tintern House on the park, will be running its Charity Christmas Extravaganza from 9am to 3pm with free entry for all visitors.

The charity supports people with learning disabilities, providing horticultural training opportunities and bike recycling workshops to help people to move closer towards work.

Items on sale will include affordable refurbished bikes for children and adults, Christmas wreaths, plants and floral decorations, Christmas ornaments, tree decorations and a wide range of gifts.

For the green shopper there will also be a selection of wooden planters, bird tables, bug boxes and hedgehog boxes. Bespoke orders can also be taken.

Dudley Council recently worked with The Emily Jordan Foundation and the Friends group to make £1.8 million of improvements at the park. The partnership secured £1.4 million of Lottery Heritage Fund and National Lottery Community Fund funding to fund the works. Councillor Karen Shakespeare, cabinet member for public realm, said:

"Anyone looking for a special gift this Christmas should head to Tintern House at Stevens Park next weekend. There will be unique and environmentally friendly items on offer that have been hand made by local people who are being supported by The Emily Jordan Foundation Projects."

Those driving to the Christmas sale are asked to use the park’s car park, which can be accessed off Thorns Road.
