Choirs and theatre groups are being offered the chance to shine by performing at Christmas lights switch-ons across the borough.

Dudley Council is giving local groups the opportunity to take centre stage and showcase themselves at the events in Dudley, Stourbridge, Brierley Hill and Halesowen in November and December.

All four are attended by hundreds of people and the groups who are chosen will also be able to promote shows they are doing and to hand out leaflets.

The Halesowen switch-on takes place on Saturday November 18^th with Stourbridge being lit up on Saturday November 25^th. The switch-on in Dudley is on Saturday December 2^nd and, subject to final confirmation, Brierley Hill will receive the festive treatment on Saturday December 9^th.
