There’ll be festive lights, high teas and Christmas exhibitions at Himley Hall this December.

'Winter Lights' will be lighting up Himley Hall and Park on Friday 13, Saturday 14, and Sunday 15 December courtesy of Countrywide Events.

Designed to show off the natural beauty of the hall and parkland, sophisticated lighting installations will create a forest of light. The woods will be lit up, illuminating the trees and the night sky, providing the perfect opportunity for a family after-dark adventure. Shimmering lights will be reflected in the lakes and waterfall, and Himley Hall itself will be lit up.

Local school children have created artwork on the theme ’12 Days of Christmas’ which will be printed onto vinyls and will feature on the halls many illuminated windows of the hall from 13 December.

The winter lights event runs from 5pm – 9pm on all three days (last admission 8pm) and tickets can only be purchased online from countrywide-events.co.uk

There’s also a Christmas exhibition running until Friday 20 December, featuring work by talented local creators, including paintings, jewellery, metalwork, ceramics and glass. Most items are for sale and it’s the chance to bag the perfect Christmas gift.

The popular afternoon tea vouchers are also now available, allowing people to treat themselves or loved ones to an indulgent treat throughout the year. The experience includes a selection of blended teas, and homemade sandwiches, cakes and scones served in one of the period rooms. Visitors can then enjoy the Capability Brown landscaped grounds, or visit the south galleries to view artwork by local artists.

Vouchers start at £21 per person, with the option to upgrade to sparkling Prosecco or gin and tonic for £24.50. Afternoon Tea at Himley must be pre-booked and is available on specific dates throughout the year – see himleyhallandpark.co.uk for a full list of availability and to buy vouchers.

While on site visitors can also drop into the coffee lounge for light refreshments. The lounge is open Tuesday to Sunday 11-4pm, it closes on the 22nd December and is back open on Thursday 2nd January.
