Christmas Tree Festival takes over the Red House Cone

People can kick-start festive preparations by displaying their very own Christmas tree creation at the Red House Glass Cone this winter.

The Christmas Tree Festival, which runs from Sunday November 18, will transform the Wordsley visitor attraction into a winter wonderland.

Groups and businesses are asked to provide uniquely decorated trees for the display, which will help to raise money for the Mayor of Dudley’s three chosen charities through donations. It is free to enter a tree and anyone in the local community is welcome to take part. Councillor Keiran Casey, cabinet member responsible for tourism, said:

"We held the first Christmas Tree Festival at the cone last year and it was huge success, encouraging creativity from local schools, groups and businesses. I am delighted that the event is planned again for 2018 and I would encourage local people to take part and help transform our visitor attraction once again.”

The Red House Glass Cone is based in High Street, Wordsley and is open Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm and Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 4pm. Admission is free but fees may apply for some activities.
