College celebrates freshers festival success

This week, Halesowen College hosted its annual Freshers Festival, a vibrant and exciting event designed to welcome new learners in preparation for the new academic year.

Taking place over three sun-soaked days, the campus buzzed with energy and offered a true festival atmosphere for all who attended.

The event gives new learners a chance to explore everything the college has to offer, go into taster lessons, meet their tutors and the chance to make new friends before the academic year officially begins.

As well as getting to grips with college life, learners enjoyed a host of activities, including games, interactive stalls and exciting freebies. A photobooth added an extra touch of fun, allowing students to capture memories of their first steps into the new chapter of their educational journey.

Events like the Freshers Festival underline the college’s commitment to providing not just an education, but a community where students can thrive socially, emotionally and academically.

Jacquie Carman, Chief Executive and Principal at Halesowen College, said: "It has been a wonderful three days on campus. Halesowen College Freshers Days are all about giving new learners the opportunity to step into taster lessons and truly experience what college life is all about.

"The energy and enthusiasm we’ve seen from our new learners has been fantastic, and we are really looking forward to welcoming them officially in September as we begin another exciting academic year."
