Comic Baddiel returning to Dudley with new show

Telly comic David Baddiel is returning to Dudley next year with a new show based around his battles with Internet trolls.

The stand-up, who performed on TV alongside best pal Frank Skinner in the likes of Fantasy Football and Baddiel and Skinner: Unplanned, will be at Dudley Town Hall on Saturday 29th February.

His new show, titled Trolls: Not The Dolls, is an insight into how he has dealt with Internet trolls over the years. It follows on from Baddiel’s performance of his five-star, Olivier-nominated hit My Family: Not The Sitcom at the St James’s Road venue in April last year.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday and are expected to be snapped up quickly. Alex Jackson, booker for Dudley Borough Halls, said:

"We’re delighted to announce that the brilliant David Baddiel will be making a very welcome return to the Black Country next year. David’s last appearance at Dudley Town Hall was a real triumph, so we’re very excited to have him back with his brand new one-man show."

Tickets for Baddiel’s show will be £27 plus booking fees and will be available from Friday at boroughhalls.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01384 812812. Doors for the show will open at 6:30pm, with the show starting at 7:30pm.

Baddiel is one of a number of top comics to be gracing the stages of Dudley and Stourbridge town halls over the next 12 months. Tickets are still available to see critically-acclaimed musical comic Mitch Benn and his new show – Ten Songs To Save The World – for £14 at Stourbridge Town Hall on Friday November 1.
