Council Leaders Unite In Tribute To Murdered MP

Council leaders in Dudley have paid tribute to murdered MP Jo Cox.

Mrs Cox, 41, was shot and stabbed in the street as she headed to a constituency surgery in Birstall, West Yorkshire, last Thursday.

Council leader Pete Lowe said Jo Cox was a devoted community leader and an inspiration to everyone in how to make a difference in communities.

Patrick Harley leader of the Conservative group called it a tragic waste of a life for someone who was so admired and respected. And leader of the UKIP group Paul Brothwood said they were all extremely saddened by this mindless attack on democracy and freedom of speech.
