Council services affected by bank holiday

Refuse, recycling and green waste collections will not take place on Monday as a mark of respect for the Queen’s state funeral.

Collections from Monday will take place on Tuesday with all rounds scheduled to be collected a day later than normal. Dudley Council will be collecting Friday’s usual runs on Saturday to ensure all waste and recycling is collected by the end of the week. Councillor Rob Clinton, cabinet member for waste management, said:

“We are all deeply saddened by the death of our Queen and it is only right we spend Monday reflecting on her life on the day of her funeral. Like many other council services, refuse, recycling and green waste collections will be affected by this national Bank Holiday and day of mourning.

"Collections will not take place on Monday with all rounds put back a day. We will aim to collect on Saturday to ensure all waste and recycling is collected by the end of the week.”
