A cyclist was initially in a critical condition after colliding with a car in Upper Gornal on Tuesday evening.
It happened around 6:15pm outside McDonalds in Kent Street.
The Man, in his 50’s, was taken to the nearest A&E before being transferred to a major trauma centre after his condition was stabilised.
The driver of the car involved refused any treatment.
