A disability charity in Dudley which has been running for nearly 25 years is appealing for help from the community.
Access In Dudley has become well respected in the area and meets once a month to discuss all matters pertaining to the disabled community.
It signposts people to services, is involved in access audits of buildings and transport and last year was awarded the coveted Kings Award for Voluntary Service.
Following the death of their founder, Tina Boothroyd last year and several other members have been ill, the charity has been left with a much depleted membership.
Honorary Patron of the charity, Steve Waltho said: "This is a wonderful group of people driven by making improvements to the world for those living with disability.
"We are a mixture of disabled individuals supported by able-bodied individuals but our membership and hence what we can achieve is declining.
"It would be an absolute tragedy if the charity stopped functioning so we are appealing for volunteers with disabilities and able bodied supporters to come and join us.
"Our monthly meetings are very informal social occasions with refreshments so if anyone has a few hours to spare we'd be very grateful".
