Drink and drugs contributed to Brierley Hill crash

An inquest has heard that speeding, drink and drugs contributed to a car crash in Brierley Hill which claimed the lives of two men two days before Christmas.

34-year-old Karl Green from Brierley Hill, and Andrew Wheeler, who was 28 and from Stourbridge, died when the car driven by Mr. Green hit a wall on Brettell Lane.

Police said he tested positive for cannabis, was slightly over the drink-drive limit, and was driving at more than twice the speed limit when the accident happened.
