Figures show that primary schools in Dudley and Sandwell have improved with more than four in five pupils reaching targets in reading, writing and maths.
A 2% rise has been recorded for both boroughs, meaning they are now matching the national average.
Cradley Primary was the only local school with a 100% record, topping the Dudley Borough’s results, while in Sandwell, three schools shared top spot with 97%.
A spokesman for Sandwell Council said it reflected improved Ofsted inspection assessments, with 84% of its primary schools rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’.
