Dudley council house to be lit up in yellow to mark Covid milestone

Dudley Council House will be lit up in yellow next week to mark the fifth anniversary of the coronavirus pandemic.

The yellow is to reflect candlelight as part of a national Covid-19 Day of Reflection on March 9.

Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of the council, said: “The day of reflection is an opportunity to come together and remember those who lost their lives during the pandemic.

“It is also a chance to shine a light again on the tireless work done by so many to help others on the front line during this unprecedented time.

“I have agreed that the council house should be lit up in yellow as our own reminder of those we lost and the struggles we all faced during that terrible time.”

More information on the day of reflection, including suggestions as to how people can mark the occasion, is available at dayofreflection.campaign.gov.uk.
