Dudley Cultural Educational Partnership launched at Black Country Living Museum

Black Country Radio are proud to be a DCEP partner.

Dudley Cultural Education Partnership have launched a national initiative which aims to get young people to do 25 things cultural and artistic by the age of 25.

Launched yesterday at the Black Country Living Museum, the challenge focuses on local issues and provides a manifesto for parents and adults who have responsibility for young people. A spokesperson for the scheme said:

"With over sixty percent of jobs in the region having an involvement with the cultural and creative industries, the partnership seeks to let young people gain cultural experiences which could lead to future prosperity - as well as enabling them to grow into positive human beings.

"DCEP are committed to forging our future through promoting cultural activity, seeking to work together to provide opportunities for our young people and have identified '25 things to do by 25'.

"These are activities that all of our children and young people should experience regardless of gender, cultural heritage, race, disability or wealth."

Current partners involved with the DCEP include Black Country Radio, Dudley Canal & Tunnel Trust, Dudley Zoo, Dudley College and Dudley Libraries
