A 47 year-old Dudley man who was caught with a kitchen knife has avoided a jail sentence after he appeared before Dudley Magistrates.
Ian Joseph Oliver, of Wolverhampton Street, was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for 12 months, for possessing the weapon in Wednesbury on August 15.
He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £180 court costs.
