Dudley man jailed after breaking into house through child's bedroom

A Dudley man’s been handed a 6 year jail sentence after he broke into a family home through a child’s bedroom window and used threats to steal car keys.

26 year-old Ben Timmins, from Sudeley Gardens in Gornal, was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court after pleading guilty to robbery.

Unemployed Timmins broke into the house in Turls Hill Road, Sedgley in the early hours of 29 January. He threatened the family, forcing them to hand over the keys to their car.

He then fled in the vehicle, but was later arrested and charged, and picked out of an ID parade.
