Dudley MP to host Funding Workshop to help charities and community groups access funding

Dudley South MP Mike Wood is hosting a Funding Workshop to help local charities and community groups to get better funding.

Mr Wood is organising the event on 15th July at Brockmoor Community Centre where officers from National Lottery Community Fund will explain how organisations can access funding from the Awards for All and Reaching Communities programmes.

Attendees can expect to learn more about who can apply, what kind of things they can apply for and what makes a good application. There will also be a question and answer session to make sure all who attend get the information they need. Encouraging groups and charities to attend, Mike Wood said:

“I want our community to get its fair share of funding from the National Lottery and so I am organising this Funding Workshop to give local groups the best chance to make sure their applications succeed.

“We have some absolutely fantastic community groups and charities in Dudley South who do such brilliant work for our community – but we know they could do even more if they knew how to access more funding.

“That’s why I’ve asked National Lottery to come along and provide information on how charities and groups from our area can access this really important funding.”

The event is completely free to attend, and those who wish to register are asked to contact Mike’s office by Friday 8th July, either by emailing mike.wood.mp@parliament.uk or calling 01384 913 123.
