As part of Rotary Stroke Awareness Week, Dudley Stroke Association, together with local Rotarians and health professionals, will be taking over a shop in Dudley’s Churchill Shopping precinct for a day on Thursday 17th May.
As part of the awareness campaign free health checks including blood pressure readings and lifestyle advice will be offered to shoppers throughout the day. The DSA and Rotarians will also be on hand to offer information and advice to people in an effort to promote healthy lifestyles. Spokesperson, Roger Edwards, said:
“The Rotary Stroke Awareness event grows year on year. It’s a really great campaign aimed at preventing illnesses and highlighting the benefits of healthy lifestyles.
“The support we get from our local Rotarians and Dudley’s health professionals is truly amazing. In the relaxed and informal atmosphere of the shopping centre together we are offering people the opportunity to have on the spot health checks.
"I’d encourage people to come along, have a chat and make the most of this free service - we are here to help.”
