Dudley Zoo to celebrate an egg-splosion of colour this Easter

Dudley Zoo and Castle has a cracking variety of activities lined up for the Easter holidays as it celebrates an ‘Egg-splosion of Colour’.

From Saturday, March 23 until Sunday, April 7, visitors can find out how animals use colour to their advantage through the attraction’s daily informative talks programme.

Hunt out vibrant eggs in a trail around the 40-acre site and visit a pop-up bug exhibit in the Discovery Centre featuring a variety of colourful critters, where there will also be themed arts and craft activities.

Down on the farm younger visitors can colour-in Easter pictures, where they can also spot the zoo’s giant rabbits and new guinea pig arrivals. Zoo Manager, Matt Lewis, said:

“With the focus on colour, come and feed rainbow lorikeets, be tickled pink by flamingos and discover more about critically endangered Bornean red great apes.

“Spot new babies and discover more about the hundreds of amazing animal species we have living on site.”

“With fun for all the family, a trip to Dudley Zoo and Castle will be an egg-cellent choice this Easter.”
