Events to bring weekend of colour, music and family fun

Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a vibrant weekend of entertainment from Dudley Council as Brierley Hill’s Brier Fair and Stourbridge Carnival return.

The Brier Fair will take place on Saturday 4 July from 10am to 4pm, offering something for all ages.

Highlights include a lively stage hosted at the Moor Centre featuring a range of local acts, alongside traditional entertainment such as Punch & Judy shows and kiddie funfair rides.

Families can also enjoy a host of free activities including balloon modelling and face painting, while world-class street entertainment comes to life with magic performances by Brett Sirrell, slacklining demonstrations, and the ever-popular Steve and his Magical Bike.

Stourbridge Carnival takes place on Sunday 5 July form 10am to 5pm, with a full day of celebration across multiple locations in the town centre.

Visitors can experience live music across three stages, including the One Heart One Way stage in Crown Square, a community stage in Ryemarket Square, and the Black Country Festival Stage on Coventry Street.

The carnival will feature spectacular street entertainment including fire breathing provided by Stourbridge BID, a variety of attractions for enthusiasts and families alike, as well as free circus skills workshops on Foster Street.

People will be able to enjoy car club displays on Lower High Street, a food and craft market on the High Street, the Midlands Maker Market inside the Ryemarket, and a traditional funfair.
