The Amor Lego exhibition started at the weekend and runs until 30 September and admission is free.

The start of the exhibition coincides with the opening of the hall’s brand new coffee lounge. It serves tea, coffee, light refreshments and food from 11am to 4pm every Wednesday to Sunday. Alan Lunt, strategic director for place, said:

“We are delighted to be able to offer this wonderful exhibition, which will prove interesting to children and adults of all ages. I’m sure visitors will have fun identifying the Lego versions of their favourite characters and can try out the new coffee lounge at the same time.”

Two further exhibitions will be on display in the Oak Gallery until Saturday 8 July. These are a 40-year retrospective of the painter Ron Satterthwaite and A Wildlife Wander around the World featuring a range of wildlife paintings by David Spencer.

As well as the new coffee lounge, the hall continues to offer its pre-booked, and very popular, high-end indulgent afternoon teas on selected Tuesdays and some Saturdays throughout the year.
