
Birmingham Phoenix’s men’s and women’s teams will be back in action at Edgbaston for one final action-packed home fixture this Friday, as they take on Welsh Fire.
The match which will see captain’s Liam Livingstone and Ellyse Perry go head-to-head with Steve Smith and Tammy Beaumont.
The final home fixture follows a seven-wicket victory for Birmingham Phoenix Men against London Spirit Men last weekend. An all-round exceptional performance from team captain, Liam Livingstone, with an unbeaten 45 runs off 20 balls, helped to re-ignite the home team’s campaign and chances of reaching the eliminator.
As part of a blockbuster summer of sport for the UK, over 44,000 fans have attended The Hundred at Edgbaston Stadium for the tournament so far. Of those tickets sold, over 44% have been to purchasers that are new to the sport, with 20% being 16 and under.
