Fluffy the Mammoth returns to Dudley

Dudley's woolly mammoth, Fluffy, has found himself a temporary new home.

People can visit the enormous stuffed beast at Dudley Canal Trust's visitor centre.

Fluffy, who was previously housed at Dudley Museum and Art Gallery, had a brief stay at Bilston Craft Gallery before ending up at the Birmingham New Road tourist attraction. Sarah Fellows, the trust's heritage activities officer, said:

"Fluffy doesn't have any other engagements until April, when he goes to Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum, so we've put a roof over his head until then.

"There have been lots of excited people having 'mammoth selfies' with him and giving him a stroke. A lot of people remember his from his days at the museum so it's nice to see him back in Dudley again."

The trust's Biffa Award Gallery, where Fluffy takes pride of place, is free to enter and opens between 10am and 5pm.
