Sandwell Council has cancelled all football matches scheduled for Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 December 2022.

This affects all council pitches at parks and playing fields across the borough due to the Level 3 cold weather alert that has been issued for the West Midlands.

The alert means that there is a 90% probability of severe cold weather and icy conditions until Monday 12 December.

The cancellation has affected the following sites:

• Barnford Park
• Britannia Park
• Bearmore Playing Field
• Cakemore Playing Field
• Charlemont Playing Fields
• Churchfields Playing Fields
• Hydes Road Playing Fields
• Jubilee Park
• Lion Farm Playing Fields
• Red House Park
• Tividale Park West
• Smethwick Park
