Footy team scores with new kit deal

A Black Country youth football team is celebrating a top result – a sponsorship deal with a leading insurance firm.

Black Country Phoenix under 16s have been sponsored by award-winning Gravity Risk Services. The Stourbridge-based company handed over £680 to sponsor the team’s kit, the second deal with the club since 2020.

The money has paid for a brand new kit for all of the team which plays in the Stourbridge and District Youth League. Alan Jones, manager of Black Country Phoenix under 16s, said:

“We’re thrilled to receive sponsorship from Gravity Risk Services again and are so grateful that they have chosen to pay for a new kit for the team.

"The pandemic brought a lot of sports clubs to a complete standstill and it’s great that things have now slowly returned to normal. Clubs like ours receiving support in the way of sponsors like Gravity Risk Services has an enormously positive impact on local children’s lives.”

Dale Collett, managing director of Gravity Risk Services, added:  “It’s our absolute pleasure to be able to sponsor the Phoenix youth football team once again.

"Supporting our local community in various ways is something that we strive to do as much as possible as a business. We’ll be cheering the team on in the hope that their new kit brings them luck on the playing field.”
