Former PC jailed over indecent images of children

A former police officer in Dudley has been jailed for taking indecent images of a child.

Paul Davies admitted one charge, relating to five images of a teenage girl in April and May last year, during a previous court hearing.

The 57-year-old of Thoresby Close, Dudley, appeared before Wolverhampton Crown Court today and was sentenced to nine months imprisonment. Detective Constable Leanne Tully, from the public protection unit at West Midlands Police, said:

"Davies was a young persons' officer during his time with the force which makes this all the more deplorable. There is no place in society for this kind of behaviour and he must now serve time behind bars."
