Fourteen year old teen recovering after Dudley park stabbing

A 14-year-old boy, who suffers from learning difficulties, has been brutally stabbed and robbed at Priory Park in Dudley.

Jack Harley had his arm slashed and injured his head after being stabbed then punched and kicked in the attack. The teenager, who suffers from both sensory processing disorder and ADHD, was taken to Russells Halls Hospital after the incident which took place on Wednesday 17th April at around 9.30pm.

He spent three days undergoing several operations on his arm with his surgeon declaring he was 'lucky to be alive'. He is now recovering at his home in Halesowen.

His mum, Diane Harley, is speaking out about the attack and said her son had to endure two operations on his arm, with the surgeon telling him he was very lucky to be alive. Fortunately he had put his arm up to defend himself or the knife could have gone through his chest.

She revealed that Jack's biggest worry after the attack was that he'd had his wireless headphones stolen and was worried about how he'd tell his Mom.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "Police are investigating after a teenager was stabbed in Priory Park, Dudley, at around 9.15pm on Wednesday, April 17th. It is believed the boy was approached by two people who threatened him with a knife before stealing his wireless earphones and stabbing him.

"Two boys, aged 15, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on police bail pending further enquiries."
