Shoppers can park for free on Saturdays in the run up to Christmas in town centres across Dudley borough.
Dudley Council has confirmed it will once again offer free parking to encourage shoppers into the towns and support businesses with their Christmas trade.
Free parking will be available all day on all council car parks on Saturday December 16 and 23. No pay and display ticket will be required. Normal charges will resume at 7am the following day. Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for highways and environmental services, said:
"It’s tradition to have free parking in our town centres in the run up to Christmas and I’m pleased we’re able to offer it again this year.
"We offer two-hour free parking all year round, but we hope by extending it to two full days on council-run car parks, on some of the busiest Christmas shopping days of the year, shoppers will be encouraged to stay for longer and support local businesses."
