Great Bridge residents left without phone service after RTC

People in Sheepwash Lane, Great Bridge were left without telephone service last night following a two vehicle accident at 8pm.

A van hit a green telecoms box, narrowly missing a tree and the driver of the other vehicle had to be freed by emergency services.

Recovery of the van and reinstatement of the service was stalled whilst BT assessed the situation, with work now underway to repair any damage.

The driver of the van was an injured but very shaken.
