Pool Road in Halesowen was shut off at both ends from around 8am yesterday while officers work to resolve the incident.
Access was blocked at both ends of the road; Queensway and Birmingham Street, near to Halesowen Leisure Centre.
The lady came down at around 1.30am today and West Midlands Police spokesman, Lee Page, said she had veen detained under the Mental Health Act.
