Have Your Say On Urgent Care And Stroke Services In Walsall

NHS Walsall Clinical Commissioning Group is continuing to seek local people’s views on health services as part of The Big Conversation.

The borough-wide public engagement on healthcare services in Walsall began this January with a launch event in Walsall Town Hall. A further event in February focused on GP and community services. The topics of conversation for the latest event will be Urgent Care and Stroke Services.

The next event will take place on Thursday 9th March from 1.00pm to 4.30pm at Moxley People’s Centre, Queen St, Wednesbury. Anyone is welcome to attend this free event, but you must book a place at walsallccg.nhs.uk, or by phoning 01922 603062.

Urgent care is in the spotlight now more than ever with an updated NHS 111 service launching recently and more and more people using the Urgent Care Centres and A&E. The future of stroke services in Walsall is also a focal point as bosses look at how the service compares with national requirements. Dr Anand Rischie, Chair of NHS Walsall CCG, said:

“I am pleased that these engagement events have been so well attended. We appreciate patients and other interested people making the effort to come along and share their views as part of The Big Conversation.

“Pressures on urgent care have been well documented and we want to work with local people on re-shaping these services so that health care in Walsall is fit for the future.

“I encourage you to come along to this latest event and share your experiences so that we can work with you to improve health services in the borough.”
