The chain have vowed to rebuild their popular Wall Heath branch after a devastating fire tore through the premises a week ago.

More than 100 firefighters battled the flames, however the cause of the blaze is still unknown. Hickory's spokeswoman Paula Brown, said:

“It has been such a successful site for us and we have been so welcomed by the community that it has given us the fire in our belly to come back stronger and rebuild.

“We don't know the timescales yet and we have many discussions to get through, as we still haven’t got a clear idea how the fire started, but we are completely committed to rebuilding.”

Fire investigators have been searching through the debris since Friday morning and ewrlier this week they discovered the venues CCTV recording device which they hope will shed some light on the cause of the fire.
