Holiday activities at Sandwell libraries thanks to funding support

Half-term fun at Sandwell libraries next week will include entertaining activities funded by a special grant secured by the Federation of Friends of Sandwell Libraries.

From magic to music, a total of 116 sessions are being held over a 12-month period with professional entertainers delivering activities at libraries during school holidays.

For more information about activities at Sandwell libraries, you can contact your local library by calling 0121 569 4911 or by email to library_service@sandwell.gov.uk.

The Federation of Friends of Sandwell Libraries successfully applied to Sandwell Council for a town grant of £11,245 to provide the activities at all libraries during school holidays across Sandwell’s six towns. Nina Rogers, secretary of the Federation of Friends of Sandwell Libraries, said:

"The grant is of great benefit to children and families, encouraging creative and imaginative thinking. The live performances are really essential for children."
