Homeless Man Found Dead On Coldest Night Of The Year

The body of a homeless man has been discovered behind a pub in Birmingham city centre.

Police were called to an area behind the Victoria pub, in John Bright Street, at 11.30pm last night, as Britain braced itself for the coldest November day in six years.

The man - aged 30 and of no fixed address - was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say his death is not being treated as suspicious and have not confirmed it was due to the temperature.

West Midlands Police have closed off a section of John Bright Street.
