An inquest has opened into the death of a Stafford man who was killed while working at an industrial estate in Brierley Hill.
60-year-old Leighton Jardine became trapped between a lorry and a trailer at Tuffnells Parcels Express on the Wallows Industrial Estate off Fens Pool Road last month.
Sandwell Coroners Court heard that Mr. Jardine sustained crush injuries to his chest and abdomen and died at the scene.
The case has been adjourned, while the Health and Safety Executive is due to take over the investigation from police later this week.
