Work has started on the installation of new play equipment at Lawyers Field in Brierley Hill to deliver new play provision for children and families in their area.

Once a popular play spot, Lawyers Field was renowned for its tall slide, swings and even a paddling pool until all were removed roughly 40 years ago.

The site, sometimes referred to as Silver End Park, will now once again offer local families in the Silver End, Delph, Chapel Street Estate and wider Brierley Hill area somewhere local to play and enjoy the outdoors.

Lawyers Field, which lies just between Delph Road and Church Street, is one of two new play areas successfully funded in the area. The second being due for installation on the field lying between Swan Lane and Harrison Road this summer.
