Investigation Launched After Early Morning Stabbing In Lye

Police have launched an investigation after a teenager was stabbed on a Stourbridge street this morning.

Officers were called to High Street, Lye at around 1.44am to reports of a 18-year-old man who had been stabbed in the leg.

The ambulance service treated him at the scene and he was taken to hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are trawling CCTV for any clues. No arrests have been made.

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and could help with the investigation is urged to call the Violent Crime Team at West Midlands Police on 101.
