It’s Christmas at Sycamore Adventure

With less than a month to go to the big day, Sycamore Adventure is gearing up for the festive season.

The Dudley Council-run play facility on the Old Park Farm Estate in Dudley is hosting a number of Christmas themed activities throughout December.

On Saturday December 21 it will host a Christmas fair from 11am to 4pm. It costs £2 per child (adults are free) and includes festive activities, creation station craft activities, Playdough station, pony rides, stalls, refreshments and musical games and prizes. Plus Santa will be taking time out of his busy schedule to visit children throughout the day. It costs £6 per child and includes an age appropriate gift and entrance fee to the fair.

Santa will also be at the centre on Saturday December 14 from 11am to 2pm, Wednesday December 18 from 1 to 6pm, Thursday December 19 from 4.30 to 6.30pm and on Sunday December 21 during the Christmas fair 11am to 4pm.

Santa sessions are expected to be busy so people are advised to book in advance by calling on 01384 813755 or emailing Alan Lunt, deputy chief executive at Dudley Council, said:

"Sycamore Adventure provides a safe and secure environment for children of all abilities to play and I’m delighted it’s putting on such a lovely line up of events in the run up to Christmas."

The centre will also be hosting a Christmas Party at the Station Hotel on Friday December 13. Tickets are on sale now. For more information contact

Sycamore Adventure offers youngsters, regardless of their ability, the opportunity to experience indoor and outdoor play. Outside there’s sunken trampolines, play structures, a sand pit and accessible water features.

Activities inside include a pirate soft play, which was installed earlier this year with funding from Aviva as well as sensory room, craft station and dressing up area.
