Jail for drink-driver who rammed patrol car

An Oldbury drink driver who deliberately rammed a police car during a high speed chase has been jailed for 17 months.

In January this year, Kieron Logan, was spotted by officers driving at speed along Darlaston Lane in Walsall, just hours after appearing before magistrates on another drink driving charge.

During the pursuit, in which he hit speeds of 94 mph, Logan rammed the patrol car causing £9,000 worth of damage. 

The 34 year-old of Pound Road, who has 45 previous offences on his record, admitted driving dangerously, failing to provide a specimen and breaching a suspended sentence for battery.
