Police have arrested a man and seized a knife after a fight between two men was reported in Victoria Street in Wolverhampton city centre.
Officers were alerted at around 4.20pm on Friday and on carrying out a stop and search in the area they detained a suspect in Skinner Street and a knife was recovered.
The 20-year-old man was charged with possessing a knife in a public place. Anthony Percival, of Park Village, is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on 15 October and remains on police bail with strict conditions.
A force spokesperson said: "Officers detained a man on suspicion of theft after items were reported stolen from a store in Victoria Square in the city centre on 13th September.
"The 44-year-old was charged with theft, and a second offence of theft at a store in the city on 23 August. He was further charged with possessing cannabis.
"Andrew Burton has been released on police bail with conditions to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on 5 November.
