Local building society mark employees 40 years of service

Dudley Building Society has celebrated with Brenda Russon this week to thank her for four decades of service to the Society.

Brenda started at the Society in 1977 and was based at the Dudley Branch. She's worked in a number or roles and locations over the years and is currently based at the Gornal Wood Branch in Abbey Road.

Three of Brenda’s colleagues celebrated 40 years service in 2014 so she becomes part of a very exclusive group at the local Building Society.  Chief Executive, Jeremy Wood was on hand to present Brenda with flowers, cake, cards and gifts from across the organisation. He said:

"We are thrilled to be celebrating with Brenda this week. Her passion for customer care is as evident now as I’m sure it was all of those years ago. We often refer to ‘Brenda from Gornal’ when we exemplify customer service."

Dudley Building Society has been providing mortgages and savings accounts to the people of the Black Country for over 150 years.

With five branches in the region, the Dudley remains committed to its core philosophy of serving the communities in and around the Black Country and West Midlands area.
