Kingswinford and South Staffordshire MP, Mike Wood has shared his thoughts following reports of a fire at the site of The Crooked House pub near Himley.
Staffordshire Fire & Rescue confirming they attended an incident near Himley Road, South Staffordshire on Saturday afternoon, just before 5:30pm on social media.
Mr Wood said: “I’m saddened to hear reports of yet another fire at the site of The Crooked House Pub.
"Whilst the full details are yet to emerge, I want to thank our fantastic firefighters from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue for their diligent effort to ensure that further destruction of the site was minimised.
"I know many of my residents will be disappointed to hear of another fire in the grounds of The Crooked House, with the pub continuing to hold a special place in the hearts of people across the Black Country, South Staffordshire and beyond.
"In the wake of this latest incident, I remain committed to doing all I can to help push a full rebuild and rightful return as a proud part of our local heritage.”
