NHS Walsall Clinical Commissioning Group is reminding people in the town of the range of helpful information and advice available from their local pharmacy this bank holiday period, as well as throughout the year.
Pharmacists are extremely knowledgeable about many conditions and they provide a range of confidential advice and information about long term conditions, which medicines to stock up on, cheaper alternatives to certain medications and much more.
If you are feeling unwell or need expert advice about your health care, stop and think and try your pharmacist first. Dr Anand Rischie, Chair of NHS Walsall CCG, said:
“Your local pharmacy is an excellent first stop for health information and advice.
“As most GP surgeries will be closed on Monday (29th May), please make sure that you order any medication you need in plenty of time so you have the medicines you need during the bank holiday.”
Pharmacy opening hours in Walsall over the bank holiday can be found on the CCG website or on the NHS Choices website at nhs.uk along with information on walk-in centres, urgent care centres or minor injuries units.
