Long running local comedy club to stage two of the UK's top comedy talents

Two of the country’s top headline comedians will both take to the stage at an award-winning comedy club in Stourbridge this Friday.

Rob Rouse, who's known for appearances on television shows including 'Celebrity Juice', '8 Out of 10 Cats' and 'The Friday Night Project', will be closing the show at the 'Fitz of Laughter Comedy Club', in the marquee at Katie Fitzgerald’s.

Opening up will be Londoner, Gerry K, who regularly headlines the country’s top comedy clubs including The Comedy Store, Jongleurs and Komedia - and also performs regularly abroad.

Completing the bill is the highly-rated Tim Hoskins, who will be performing his German character act 'Marti', and holding things together will be resident compere Wayne Beese. Speaking about the night, Beese said:

“We’re very excited about this line-up, which will be as good as you will find anywhere on Friday night. There are still a few tickets left so if you’re in need of a laugh, come and give us a try.

“You won’t be disappointed!”

The club, which has been running for just over three years, was nominated for both Best Comedy Club and Best Small Comedy Club at last year’s Midlands Comedy Awards. To mark its third anniversary in August, TV comic Joe Lycett made a surprise appearance to try out some material for his new nationwide tour next year

The club, which runs on the first Friday of every month, has also played host in the past to the likes of Tom Stade, Gary Delaney, Zoe Lyons, Rob Deering, Tom Binns, Patrick Monahan, former Xtra Factor host Matt Richardson, and Phoenix Nights' Archie Kelly and Jo Enright.

It initially ran on Thursdays in the cellar bar, before being relaunched in the outdoor heated marquee on Fridays in September 2015.

Tickets for the show on Friday cost £10 and are available to buy online (with no booking fee) or by calling 07759 543 750.

Doors open at 8pm on the night, with the show starting around 8.30pm. For further information, you can like the clubs Facebook page or you can follow them on Twitter.
